Great Green Wall Agency deploys N.6bn to fight climate change


In its bid to drive down logging in the eleven frontline states of Nigeria, the federal government has earmarked various sums to battle the challenge of climate change through the National Agency for Great Green Wall (NAGGW), for the year 2022.

Tribune Online confirms that the federal government, through its agency in the ministry of environment, has proposed spending the cumulative sum of N637,596,913, to combat climate change, in its bid, to step up the country’s nationally determined contributions (NDCs) to bring down carbon emissions.

The amount would be variously used to tackle the challenge of climate change and its impact on Nigeria the environment and its people.
