The Federal Government through the Ministry of Interior has empowered the Landlords Voice Association of Nigeria (LAVAN), to ensure all landlords of properties adhere to the stipulations of the Fire Service Act.
The approval was conveyed through a letter by the Federal Fire Service (FFS), Deputy Director, Garba L.M, on behalf of the Minister of Interior.
The letter with a title: ‘Re-Request for the Ministry Approval on Fire Safety’, “I am directed to refer to your letter dated 18th March 2024, and to convey the Honourable Minister’s approval on the subject.
