Workers demand implementation of CONTEDISS 15

LAGOS
—WORRIED over the non-implementation of Consolidated Tertiary Educational Institutions Salary Structure, CONTEDISS 15, 10 years after approval, Senior Staff Union of Colleges of Education, SSUCOEN, in South West, has demanded that the Federal Government ensure its immediate implementation .

The workers argued that in order to avoid industrial action, National Commission for colleges of Education,NCCE, should implement the scheme which was aimed at improving workers welfare.

CONTEDISS 15 was designed for non-academic staff of polytechnics, mono-technics and colleges of education in the country.

The workers also raised concerns over South West governors’ non-payment of workers’ salary despite Federal Government release of Paris Club fund.
