ABUJA—THE University of Maiduguri, UNIMAID, Alumni Association has said it will visit families of those killed or kidnapped by the Boko Haram insurgents at the end of its dinner, award and fundraising event slated for 11th of November 2017 in Abuja.
Addressing a press conference yesterday, Chairman, Organizing Committee, UNIMAID Alumni Association Dinner and Award Night, Mr. Sunny Monidafe said the event would reunite products of the university over the years, noting that it would afford the family the opportunity to brainstorm on important issues concerning the state of affairs of the university.
He noted that the challenges posed by the long years of Boko Haram campaign would be highlighted, regretting that over the years, the university suffered untold hardship as a result of acts of terrorism.
