benin city—FORMER First Lady of Edo State and founder of anti-human trafficking group, Idia Renaissance, Mrs Eki Igbinedion, has described trafficking in persons as a big societial problem insisting that many people under-estimated the magnitude of the menace when she started the campaign many years ago.
Mrs. Igbinedion spoke with journalists, weekend, in Benin, while meeting no fewer than 150 orphans drawn from some orphanage homes in Benin after marking the 4th anniversary of Kada cinema in the city.
She expressed confidence that the Task Force set up by Edo State government against human trafficking would deter traffickers from the illicit trade even as she said that more grounds still need to be covered by the state government in the fight against the social menace.
