Oil firm discourages open defecation in Delta school

Matrix Energy, a major fuel importer, yesterday, unveiled the toilets it built at  Ejoki Primary School, Ifiekporo in Warri South local government area of Delta State to discourage open defecation.

The Chief Operating Officer of the firm, Loqman Alada, said the gesture, which included the  refurbishment and furnishing of the school in its host community, was in commemoration of the World Toilet Day, celebrated on November 19.

“We commemorate this year’s United Nations’ World Toilet Day with the delivery of ten toilets as there was none here before. Matrix Energy also commissioned new furniture, chalkboards, doors, ceiling boards, windows, completed the perimeter fencing and painting of all the classrooms in the school with new gates to create a secure and safe environment for learning”, Loqman stated.
