* As NAF immortalises officer who died while fighting insurgents in the N/East

The Chief of the Air Staff, CAS Air Marshal Sadiq Abubakar , yesterday in Lagos , disclosed that the federal government had equipped the Force with new platforms that would enhance personnel ability to conduct counter insurgent operation.
This is just as the Nigerian AirForce has immortalised one of its officers , a 35-year-old pilot who died in the fight against terrorists last May, in Maiduguri.
The CAS, made the disclosure while commissioning the newly built 6 by 3 bedroom flats for officers accommodation at the Sam Ethnan AirForce Base, Ikeja.
Aside the provision of new logistics, the CAS also informed that some platforms were still undergoing reactivation, for the purpose of tackling other emerging security challenges across the country.
