The Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, Ogun Command has repelled smugglers attack while on anti-smuggling operations and seized contraband items with a Duty Paid Value, DPV, of N84million.
The vicious attack, which took place at a border community between Nigeria and Republic of Benin left four officers seriously injured, even as two out of the four are still taking treatment in an undisclosed hospital in the country.
Addressing news men at Idiroko, the Customs Area Controller , CAC, of the Command, Comptroller Sani Madugu, who frowned at incessant attacks on officers by smugglers at the area, displayed Customs patrol vehicle totally shattered during the attack.
