Ex-VC to former AG: You can’t prosecute me after vacating office

IMMEDIATE past Vice Chancellor of Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State, Professor Kunle Oloyede, has petitioned the state Attorney General over the fiat granted the former state Attorney General, Remi Olatubora, to continue with a case pending before a magistrate court despite vacating the position eight months ago.

Oloyede equally asked the Office of the Attorney General not to assign the case to the Magistrate sitting on the case, as the case has been reassigned to another judge following the deployment of the initial magistrate to the Finance Department of the Justice Ministry.

He prayed the Attorney General not to grant the two fiats in the interest of justice, fairness, equity and protection of the common man human right, saying granting the fiats would amount to a clear attempt to corrupt the justice process.
