500 elderly Bayelsans benefit from NYSC’s medical outreach

NO fewer than 500 elderly Bayelsans from Kaiama community in Kolokuma-Opokuma Local Government Area of Bayelsa State have benefited from the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, medical outreach programme.

Tagged: Health Initiative for Rural Dwellers, the programme is an initiative of the Director-General of the Corps, Brigadier-General SZ Kazaure and is aimed at enhancing accessibility to health care services by rural dwellers.

Corps members

Members of the corps, made up of medical doctors, nurses, pharmacists and laboratory scientists were on ground to conduct  free medical screening, examination, test and sensitization campaign, sharing of drugs and mosquito nets to the elderly indigenes of the area.
