Lagos—A businessman, Francis Esinusu, who allegedly attempted to throw a Police officer on duty into the Lagoon, yesterday, appeared before an Igbosere Magistrate’s Court in Lagos.
Esinusu, 35, is facing a four-count charge bordering on conspiracy, stealing, receiving stolen items and assault.
The prosecutor, Inspector Ingobo Emby told the court that the defendant and four others committed the alleged offences sometime in September at Oko-Agbon Waterfront Community, Makoko, Yaba, Lagos.
The defendant, however, denied the offences.
Magistrate W. B. Balogun, granted him N1 million bail with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case to January 9, 2018, for a mention.
