Police wade into Lekki Property dispute

lagos—The crisis between the developers of Adiva Plainfield Estate located at Sapati in Ibeju-Lekki and the residents took a new turn weekend as officials of Mixta Africa, the developers of the estate, broke into the premises to commence work on the controversial church building that has pitched them against each other.

This was against a police order that the parties should maintain the status quo.

The action of Mixta Africa is coming after a letter to the residents that it owned the property and has the right to situate a place of worship within the estate.

But following the latest invasion, the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 2, has waded into the crisis urging both parties to sheathe their swords.
