Delta prison inmates get free medicare from Isioma Okobah Foundation

THE annual end of year free rural medical outreach organised by Dr. Isioma Okobah Foundation will kick off today at the Ogwashi-Uku prisons, Ogwashi-Uku, in Aniocha South Local Government Area, Delta State.

Wife of Delta State governor, Dame Edith Okowa, will flag off the programme.

A statement by Dr. Isioma Okobah said this year’s edition of the free medical prorgamme is designed to address the health needs of inmates of the five prisons in Delta State.

According to her, the foundation was collaborating with the 05 Initiative and Medical Students of Georgia State University, Atlanta, USA, under the brand name, “Medical Students Making a Difference,” to make the free health programme a special package for inmates of Ogwashi-Uku, Kwale, Warri, Sapele and Agbor prisons.
