ICAN inducts 650 new members, calls for transparency

LAGOS—THE Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, ICAN, has inducted 650 new members into the Association of Accounting Technicians, West Africa, AATWA.

Speaking at the 47th AATWA, Induction Ceremony in Lagos, President of ICAN, Mallam Ismaila Zakari, urged the new members to live above board while upholding the principles of accuracy and integrity.

Zakari congratulated the 650 new AATWA members having qualified as accounting technicians after the rigorous qualifying examination of the institute, saying, “Accounting technicians are universally respected and internationally recognised.”

I implore you to adhere strictly to the ethics and rules of professional standard of AATWA and conduct yourselves as AATWA members.”
