See education as service to humanity, Obasanjo charges proprietors of schools

ABUJA—FORMER President Olusegun Obasanjo has charged proprietors of schools, especially private universities, to see education as service to humanity and not as a business meant for financial profits.

He also disclosed that Bells University of Technology, Ota, which he serves as a chancellor, would remain focused on technology-driven disciplines without delving into areas of Arts and Humanities, Medicine, Social Sciences and Law.

The ex-President spoke when the vice-chancellor, principal officers and some other members of staff of Chrisland University, Abeokuta, paid him a courtesy visit in his Green Legacy Obasanjo Presidential Library.
