Revisiting ‘Nazi death camps’ in Poland

THE  history of mass murder of Jews in the Concentration camps by the German Nazi (Third Reich) has once more come into focus  following a deliberate effort by some politicians and historians mostly Israelis, to rope the state of Poland into the atrocities despite evidences to the contrary.

From the beginning, let us establish the fact that the Poles have never denied there was a holocaust, but the clarity they insist must be made is that though there were cases of anti-semitism and even secret collaboration with the Nazzi occupier, these did not have the sanction of Poland as a state.

In fact, Poland as an underground state during the war repudiated any maltreatment of the Jews during the Nazi occupation. In fact, such acts of betrayal against the Jews was met with a death penalty under the secretive and reclusive Polish government of the infamous…
