What started out as a fantasy in the heart of just one woman barely two years ago, is today a source of great joy and pride for a nation and its continent at large.
For the first time ever, Nigeria, a country with an average temperature of 77 degrees Fahrenheit in its coldest month—which, by implication has never known winter—will be participating in the 2018 Winter Olympics beginning this Friday, February 9, in South Korea. Thanks to four of its own, Seun Adigun, Akuoma Omeoga, Ngozi Onwumere and Simidele Adeagbo, all in the Diaspora, who are making this happen.
