A former Lagos State governorship aspirant in 2015, Mr. Babatunde Olalere Gbadamosi (BOG), a Universal Institutional Reform Advocate, Mr. Segun Awosanya; the Vice Chairman, Join Action Front (JAF), Dr. Achike Chude and the National convener of the Nigerian Wailers, Prince Adelaja Adeoye and other speakers have called for peace, unity and cohesion among Nigerians as a prerequisite for greater development in the country.
The speakers also called to an end to what they described as continued violation of the fundamental human rights of citizens through what they called illegal detentions.
They gave the call during a programme organized by the group, Initiative for Conciliation and Right Protection, to discuss Nigeria’s Democracy and the State of the Nation at the conference hall, Unilag Guest house, University of Lagos, on Monday.
