EDO LG POLLS: Amid high turnout, gov says APC will win

 The 2018 local government elections kicked off in several polling units across Edo State on optimistic note, recording high turnout of voters who were seen casting their ballots to elect new helmsmen at the 18 LGAs across the state.

•Governor Godwin Obaseki at Emokpae Primary School, Benin-City to cast his ballot.

With the restriction of movement between 7am and 3pm announced  by government to ease  voting process, voters were afforded ample opportunity to exercise their franchise.

Checks at polling units across the three senatorial districts of Edo  revealed that contrary to the insinuation  that there was going to be voter apathy due to the boycott by some opposition parties, the polls recorded large turnout of voters.
