lagos—Commissioner of Police, , Imohimi Edgal, yesterday, disclosed that policemen at the State Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department, SCIID, Yaba Lagos, would undergo profiling , with a view to flushing out those who were recruited into the Force as tailors, barbers or dog handlers but found their ways to the department through questionable means.
This is just as he has charged the newly deployed Deputy Commissioner of Police , SCIID, Mrs Yetunde Longe, to carry out audit of all exhibits at the department, with a warning to policemen to return any exhibits of suspects that was either diverted or converted to personal use.
Edgal , who read the riot act to the policemen during a visit to the SCIID , did not hide his consternation over the present state of the department, describing it as a far cry from its enviable former state.
