Rivers’ community school gets MRS support

PORT-HARCOURT—RELENTLESS struggles by Okporo community, Obia Akpor Local Government Area, Rivers State, at nursing her self-initiated secondary school to enviable standards gained further support, yesterday, with MRS Oil Nigeria Plc, supporting the school with 100 chairs and desks.

Managing Director of the company, Andrew Gbodume, said the gesture was for promotion of educational legacy in the belief that education is a lifelong pursuit that should benefit all children.

Gbodume,  represented by Morue Sobowale, Commercial and Industrial Sales Manager, said: “We know education is key to the development of the economy and country. We believe a classroom with good facilities will help improve the learning culture for students.”
