Man Utd’s Kehinde keen to play for Nigeria

Nigeria Football Federation officials have been in talks with Manchester United up and coming midfielder, Tosin Kehinde who has declared his intentions to play for Nigeria.

NFF sources told ESPN FC that a statements will be released this week with regards to development on the issue, after the midfielder and his representatives met Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr and NFF vice-president Seyi Akinwunmi on Sunday. There are possibilities Kehinde, 19, a regular for United’s under-23s this season, could be included in the Nigeria squad for the World Cup.

Kehinde, 19, was born in Lagos but raised in the UK and is eligible to play for either Nigeria or England. He has yet to make a senior appearance for United, although he has trained with Jose Mourinho’s first-team squad.
