Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG, has appointed Mr. Adamu Song as its new General Secretary, GS, following the retirement of Mr. Joseph Ogbebor, the erstwhile General Secretary.
A statement by the union’ s Principal Assistant General Secretary, PAGS, (Research and Public Affairs), Adamson Momoh, said: “Adamu Song is a seasoned labour technocrat who until now was the former Deputy General Secretary (Operations and Administration). The new GS is also a former Senior Assistant General Secretary in-charge of Kaduna Zone before he was moved to Lagos five years ago. He will bring his wealth of experience to bear in moving the union to the next level.”
The former General Secretary, Comrade Joseph Ogbebor retired after 31 years of meritorious service to the union.
