Saraki: A case of political injustice?

The beauty of democracy in civilized societies is that it is underpinned by the rule of law. One of the features of the rule of law is that justice is blind and should apply to everyone equally.

While the Senate President, Sen Bukola Saraki is indeed not immune to prosecution for alleged criminal behaviour, he should expect a fair judicial process based on cogent evidence and rigorous, plausible case.

This does not quite seem like what transpired at the Code of Conduct Tribunal and the whole situation has been compounded by the Federal Executive’s insistence on appealing the tribunal’s decision.
