ENUGU—IGBO Youth Movement, IYM, yesterday, said recent massive defections by members of the National Assembly had vindicated Ndigbo for refusing to vote for President Muhammadu Buhari during the 2015 presidential poll.
The group therefore, asked Nigerians to apologise to Ndigbo for mocking them over their rejection of Buhari during the 2015 election, as current political events in the country had vindicated the South East’s position during the election.
This was contained in a statement signed in Enugu yesterday, by the founder of the union, Evangelist Elliot Ugochukwu-Uko.
The statement read, “Nigerians must apologise to the South East for their inate wisdom in the voting choice they made in 2015 elections.
