The senator representing Enugu west constituency, Dr. Ike Ekweremadu has on Friday denied a report making rounds that he would be a life senator.
In a statement disclosed via his facebook handle, Ekweremadu opined that he was quoted out of context and noted that ‘boasting is not in his character’.
Recall that the deputy senate president had said at an event organised by the ‘Not-Too-Young-To-Run movement’ on Thursday, that if he wants, he would remain in senate forever.
However, reacting on the purported statement, Ekweremadu disowned the statement and noted that he was misquoted and misrepresented while advising youths that they need to be rooted at the grassroots and relate closely with their immediate constituencies to achieve their political dreams.
