Labour Party, LP, governorship candidate in weekend’s governorship election in Kwara State, Issa Aremu, has congratulated the winner of the election, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, of All Progressives Congress, APC, saying all Kwarans are winners.
In a result announced by INEC, Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of APC polled 331,546 votes to defeat Abdul-Rasaq Abu of PDP who polled 114,754 votes.
LP and APC in Kwara State had entered into a widely popularized alliance on the eve of the poll to consolidate on what they called “the joint victory during the Presidential and National Assembly elections, as well as wrestle power and liberate people of Kwara State from the ruling party, PDP.”
The two parties had agreed to work together on the governorship election to ensure the victory of the candidate of APC on March 9, 2019 governorship election in an arrangement by the governorship candidate of LP and that of APC, at the African Hall, Justice Mustapha Akanbi Foundation…
