Dr Peter Ayodele Fayose, former governor of Ekiti state, has taken a swipe at Ibikunle Amosun, the incumbent governor of Ogun, over the yet to be declared election result.
Although, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is yet to declare a winner, there are clear reports indicating that Dapo Abiodun of the All Progressives Congress (APC), defeated Abiodun Akinlade, the preferred candidate of Amosun. Recall that Akinlade ran under the platform of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).
In a tweet on Sunday night, Fayose asked Amosun to congratulate Abiodun.
He said after conspiring with the APC to take Ekiti last year, Amosun is now experiencing something similar.
Recall that Kolapo Olusola, Fayose’s anointed candidate in the election, lost to Kayode Fayemi, the incumbent governor.
