Protest in Imo ahead of Saturday’s supplementary election

Owerri – Scores of youths yesterday protested at the Imo state police command, ahead of the supplementary elections in the state.

The youths who are from Ikeduru local government area, said that they wanted to be assured of adequate security in the forthcoming Saturday’s supplementary elections in Ikeduru as well as calling for the arrest of the sponsor of the suspected bombers who were arrested in the last election in the area.

It should be recalled that, about 40 booths were said to have been cancelled in Ikeduru, by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, during the last governorship/House of Assembly election.

It was in the same Ikeduru, collation center, at central school, Iho that it was reported three persons suspected to be bombers came with explosives…
