IATA clarifies its NewGen ISS platform in Nigeria

The International Air Transport Association, IATA, has clarified that the implementation of its new payment platform NewGen ISS (New Generation of IATA Settlement Systems) introduced to Nigeria is not peculiar to the country’s travel market.

A statement by the global airline association said: “ The International Air Transport Association, IATA, would like to clarify that New Gen ISS (New Generation of IATA Settlement Systems) is not a programme that is specific only to Nigeria. It represents the modernization of the IATA Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP) used by more than 50,000 IATA-accredited travel agents around the world. NewGen ISS is being rolled out progressively to all 180 BSP markets”.
