Rain sacks Oghara, Sapele – Vanguard News Nigeria

Sapele—Residents of some parts of Sapele, Sapele Local Government Area and Oghara in Ethiope West Local Government Area, both in Delta State, were yesterday morning sacked from their homes by an early morning downpour that lasted for close to three hours.

Badly affected were Igbeku, Gana, Amukpe, Awolowo and Ojolu areas in Sapele local Government Area.

Others areas affected in Oghara are Chief Eyaufe Robert Street by Lucky Junction, Kingsley Estate, Scout Road, Omimi Road, Okuemeva Road Extension and Ibori Road before Ibori House.

Aside destroying property and goods worth millions of naira, roads linking homes were also washed off by the flood, rendering many residents stranded.

In Sapele, the road linking Uko Road extension to Power Line was also submerged in water, preventing residents in that area from coming out or going in.

In Igbeku, Bishop Close, flood also took over with residents struggling to find their ways to the main road.
