Police arrest 33 suspects for cultism in Lagos

LAGOS—THE Police in  Lagos, Thursday, arrested 33 persons allegedly involved in the clash on Wednesday between two rival cult groups at Fadeyi-Onipanu area where two persons were killed.

Trouble started after rival cult groups from Alakara, Mushin and Onipanu in Shomolu, armed with dangerous weapons, were engaged in a fierce supremacy fight at Fadeyi, Onipanu, along Ikorodu road.

At the end of the clash, two persons were killed.

The two victims, identified as Tobi Kuti suspected to be one of the hoodlums and Samuel Geoffrey, who works with DTD Services, Apapa were caught up in the web of the hoodlums as they unleashed terror at Fadeyi, Onipanu.

Confirming their arrest, Police Public Relations Officer,
