IBADAN—OVER 200 students of Christian Mission School for the Deaf, yesterday, called on Federal Government to prevail on the Oyo State Government to release part of their land it usurped along Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
Describing the outgoing governor, Abiola Ajimobi as a listening leader, the hapless students led by their Supervisor, Mr. Peter Obadare said they remain optimistic that the governor could still have a rethink on the decision of his government to take over the land which they said is meant for the establishment of the first University for the deaf in Africa.
The management of the school which is located at Onireke GRA, Ibadan with preparatory, Nursery, Primary and vocational centre, said it has helped reduced destitute on the streets by training over 3,000 students so far.
