NASS has absolved ex-Lagos Dep Gov of financial impropriety ― Reps

The attention of the House Committee on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), said yesterday, that both chambers of the National Assembly (NASS), have exonerated a former Deputy Governor, Mrs Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, of allegations of misappropriation of funds meant for Sustainable Development Goals Projects.

The Chairman House Committee on SDGs, Rep Rotimi Agunsoye made this known through a press statement yesterday.

He said the sum of N33bn allegedly pilfered by her office, was not true.

“Our been drawn to a publication by an online medium with the headline ”2020 Budget: Row over N33bn SDGs’ vote” stating that the sum of N33 billion was included in the allocation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the 2020 Budget without details being provided to the National Assembly and consequently direct the Ministry of Finance to stop the release of allocation to the SDGs office.
