Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun has warned that the state government will not tolerate the violation of the state’s building codes by any individual in the state.
This comes after government officials on Sunday partially pulled down the five-storey building plaza which is said to belong to Olufunke Daniel, the wife of former governor popularly known as OGD.
OGD had described the demolition of his wife’s property in Ijebu Ode, by the Ogun government as an act of executive recklessness, lawlessness and irresponsibility.
Reacting, Gov Abiodun, after inspecting the 8-kilometre Mowe-Ofada Road, in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of the state, affirmed that the partial demolition exercise carried out by the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development was in line with the laws of the state.
