The recently held ward congresses of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South-South zone, like in other zones have re-opened old wounds even as fresh ones are opened, largely due to scheming and permutations ahead of 2023 general elections. Godfathers and aspirants know that the exercise is the first step towards the realisation of their ambitions.

DELTA: Accusations and counter-accusations trail exercise
APC in Delta State was enmeshed in crisis even before the 2019 governorship election, over which of the three senatorial zones and which aspirants should fly its flag.

The disagreement boiled over to the recent ward congresses, with both notable camps accusing one another of manipulating the process.
