The United States Embassy and former vice president, Yemi Osinbajo have wished Tunde Onakoya well in his attempt to break the Guinness Book of World Records.

Onakoya set up a program “About Play Chess With Tunde Onakoya” to support the dreams of millions of children globally.

To achieve this, Onakoya will play chess for 58 consecutive hours from 10 am on Wednesday, April 17 to 8 pm on April 19 in Times Square, New York, thereby, breaking the Guinness Book of World Record.

“Best wishes to @Tunde_OD on his knightly mission to break the world record for the longest chess marathon without losing a game,” US Mission Nigeria said on X.

“We are thrilled to cheer him on as he makes history in the heart of Times Square and brings hope to children who dream of a brighter future through education. Go Tunde!.”

Osinbajo also took to his X handle on Wednesday to wish Onakoya the very best of luck.
