The Rotary Club of New Lagos Ikeja has donated a borehole to Iju Ishaga community in Ifako-Ijaiye local government area of Lagos State, to alleviate their water.

The water project was commissioned yesterday as part of the club’s commitment to providing clean and accessible water to communities in need.

Speaking, president of the Rotary Club of New Lagos Ikeja, Rtn. Omolara Akinbami Ojo, said the project, which is to commemorate the Water and Sanitation month in the Rotary calendar year, was initiated to address the water scarcity issues faced by residents of Iju Ishaga.

“The project involved drilling, installation of pumps, construction of water storage facilities and donation of a 4.5KVA generator to power same to ensure a steady supply of potable water to the community. The new borehole has significantly improved the daily lives of the Iju Ishaga residents. It has eliminated the need for long-distance travel to fetch…
