A former lawmaker representing the Imo East Senatorial District, Chris Anyanwu, has stressed the role of information in the development of any society.
Anyanwu, who made her mark with the Nigerian Television Authority in the early 80s before moving into politics, spoke during her visit to the PUNCH Place, the headquarters of PUNCH Nigeria Limited in Magboro, Ogun State on Thursday.
The 66-year-old, who visited ahead of the launch of her new radio station in Lagos – Hot FM – said that being one of the oldest forms of information dissemination, radio occupies a critical place in the development of a complex society like Nigeria.
While revealing that the new station was targeted at Nigerian youths, Anyanwu said Hot FM would offer listeners the opportunity to “learn and enjoy” themselves at the same time.
