ICPC Charges Civil Servant Over Fake ICAN Certificate — Leadership Newspaper

Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has secured a two year jail term after a Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court, sitting in Jabi, Abuja, sentenced a civil servant in the office of the Auditor-General of the Federation (AuGF), James Ayodele Lebi, for using fake Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) certificate to gain promotion in his office.

ICPC spokesperson, Rasheedat Okoduwa, in a statement, said Justice Y. Halilu also imposed a N100, 000 fine on the convict who will spend his jail term in prison in Keffi, Nasarawa State, following the conclusion of a case brought against him, by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
