Niger Mourns Mamman Nasir — Leadership Newspaper

Niger State governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello, has commiserated with the federal and Katsina State government over the recent death of a judicial icon and former President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Mamman Nasir.

The late Justice Nadir, who was also the Galadiman Katsina, died Saturday, at the Federal Medical Centre Katsina after a protracted illness.

In a statement issued by his chief press secretary, Malam Jibrin Baba Ndace, the governor described the deceased as an extraordinary public servant whose unblemished record had set him apart from most Judges of his time.

“The country has indeed lost one of its most incorruptible and reputable Judges in its history because the deceased, throughout his career, has left impeccable record of integrity and chose selfless service to humanity rather than questionable accumulation of wealth,” he said.
