Afenifere, the Yoruba socio-cultural group, has said that the office of Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, has been rendered useless, impotent and irrelevant by some very powerful persons. Yinka Odumakin, who is the spokesperson of the group, said this during an interview with The PUNCH today September 18th. Reall that the Economic Management Team which was chaired by the Vice President was suddenly dissolved on Monday September 16th and replaced with an advisory council that would report directly to President Buhari. Many Nigerians cried foul immediately this happen, with claims that Osinbajo is being stripped off his powers. The Cable on Tuesday September 17th, published a report claiming that the Presidency had sent out a memo to the Vice President instructing him to always seek presidential approval before taking any action under the agencies he oversees.
