Governor Ayo Fayose
Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State, Southwestern Nigeria on Tuesday evening succumbed to the defeat of his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the presidential election as he urged Nigerians to accept the result.
Fayose who has led a hate-camp campaign against General Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress seems to have retraced his steps.
From the results so far released by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, as at 4:30 pm on Tuesday, Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC, was leading President Goodluck Jonathan of the PDP by about 2.9 million votes.
