Three referees and six assistant referees in the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, are under probe and could be axed if found guilty of allegations levelled against them.
The League Management Company (LMC) said it has made an official complaint on the performance of the referees and assistant referees to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) referees committee over the conduct of the match officials in weekend’s NPFL matches.
Supersport.com reports early today that the referees are being singled out over “allegations of poor officiating, questionable calls and lack of diligence” during three matches in the top flight on Sunday.
