Boko Haram’s Abubakar Shekau in an old video
Abuja AFP – Abubakar Shekau, the elusive man who has been the face of Boko Haram monstrosity was conspicuously missing in the group’s latest video, in which a new disguised spokesman dismissed the military successes of Nigeria and its West African allies.
According to an AFP report, Boko Haram rejected claims that it has been routed by the armies of Nigeria and its neighbours.
The unidentified speaker, his face obscured by a headscarf, instead called Nigeria, Cameroon, Chad and Niger, who have been battling the Islamists, “the lying coalition partners”.
