There are indications that the Benin Airport may be shut down to air passengers for about four weeks to allow for maintenance work on the airport.
Sources at the airport confided to journalists in Benin that the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), has ordered the temporary closure between 20 June and 17 July, 2015, to enable management carry out maintenance of the airport’s run-way to ease flight landing and take-off.
The Manager of the Airport, Mr. Ayodele Sunday, failed to comment on the issue, simply saying that he was yet to be briefed.
