Pedro hit the ground running for his new club
Pedro enjoyed a dream debut for Chelsea, scoring his first goal in the process, as the Premier League champions narrowly defeated West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns.
The 28-year-old joined Jose Mourinho’s Blues for £21m after the Portuguese boss out-maneuvered Manchester United in the transfer market to secure his signature.
After the 3-0 submission to Manchester City last weekend, Chelsea handed the Spaniard his debut in the West Midlands and Pedro duly accepted the challenge to single-handedly pick the London club up from their early-season woe.
20 mins: Weaving in and out of Baggies’ Jonas Olsson, it took just 20 minutes for the World Cup winner to show his class in the Black Country, cutting inside before beating Boaz Myhill.
30 mins: Diego Costa has been crying out for someone to whip the balls into the box which he craves. Perhaps he has found to the man to support Eden Hazard to that end as Pedro found his Spain teammate in acres of space to poke home.
53 mins: John Terry is dismissed for hauling Solomon Rondon to the ground as the new West Brom forward ran clear. The dynamic of the match changed as a result, leaving the Spanish trickster will limited time to shine.
78 mins: Pedro combined with Radamel Falcao for the first time, after the Colombian had replaced Costa up front, but the Monaco loanee cannot apply the finish to an excellent ball from the right flank.
