Governor Nasir El Rufai of Kaduna State
Kaduna State Government said it returned 1,320 livestocks stolen by rustlers to their owners in Kaduna on Friday.
This is contained in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) and signed by Samuel Aruwan, Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to Governor Nasir el-Rufai.
He said the livestock was made up of 890 cows, 35 sheep, 10 goats and 61 donkeys.
They were returned to owners who satisfied the terms and conditions laid down by the committee on livestock recovery in the fight against cattle rustlers.
“Those that benefitted from the exercise are Dr Haruna Abdurasheed, 34 cows and five sheep, Habu Audu, five cows, Buhari Sale, four cows, Gambo Dan’azumi, eight cows, Rabe Alhaji Ali, 24 cows, eight sheep, and Sule Abubakar, 12 cows, 16 sheep.
Others are Sule Audu, 24 cows, six sheep, Umaru Garba, 10 cows, 11 sheep, Samaila Abdulmumin, 22 cows, Kabir Tukur, 24 cows, 48 sheep, Abubakar Usman, 40 cows, 200 sheep, Abubakar Mamman, 52 cows, Iliyasu Mamman, 30 cows, three donkeys.
Musa Awwal, 42 cows, four sheep, two donkeys, Usman Sale, 70 cows, 12 sheep two donkeys, Aminu Ibrahim, 16 cows, one donkey, Dabo Adamu, 34 cows, nine sheep, one donkey, and Bala Alhaji Usman, 94 cows.
The statement said Bahago Idi got 24 cows, five sheep, Alhaji Halilu Haruna, 76 cows, 22 sheep, 10 goats, Ibrahim Bello 16 cows, three sheep, Lawal Haruna, 44 cows, Hurera Fulani Idris, 21 cows, and Hassan Maiduna, 36 cows.
Alh Zubairu Idris, nine cows, Abubakar SKakang, Idi Ilaya, Ibrahim Musa and Umaru Jidde collected two cows each.
Similarly, Idi Ibrahim, Nansir Ahmed, Bature Ibrahim, Bala Samaila, Audu Na Adamu, Larabi Salmanu, Hajara Ibrahim Malam, Liman Tukur collected one cow each.
