NGO Commends Kaduna Govt Over Commitment To Education

The Centre for Learning and Educational Development Advocacy Africa (CLEDA Africa), on Friday commended the Kaduna State Government for the N43.9 billion capital allocation to education in 2017.

Its Executive Director, Mr Daniels Akpan, said in Kaduna that the allocation represents 57 per cent increase when compared to 2016.

Akpan said the gesture demonstrated the government’s commitment to transform the education sector.

“This shows the passion of the state to move the education sector through promotion of quality education and has proven beyond reasonable doubt the premium Kaduna place on education.”

He called on other states to emulate the gesture by raising their budgetary allocation to education, to at least 26 per cent as outlined by UNESCO.
