FG promises steady funding of Lagos-Ibadan highway, others

THE Federal Government has said it will ensure steady funding of three major projects namely; Lagos-Ibadan highway, Second Niger Bridge and Kano-Abuja road until they are fully completed.

 

Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, gave the assurance at the flag-off of Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano road project in Kano State.

He said the uninterrupted funding of the projects would be sourced from the Presidential Infrastructure Development Fund recently approved by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Fashola lamented that the highlighted projects were for decades neglected by past administrations for lack of funds, despite the huge amount amassed from sale of crude oil.
